As may you know,Some of these Pictute are taken by NASEREDIN SHAH QAJAR. If u go to GOLESTAN PALACE MUSEUM u could find many of these pictures there. Many of these women are NASEREDIN SHAH'S favorite wives. and those who have musical instrument in their hands just could work for Shah's HARAM. They just playd for women and Shah. Most of them were Shah's wives (sighe). I read something about MOSTACHE OF WOMEN in these pics, I don't know if it is right or not. writer said:"Naseredin Shah's wives bug him to took picture of them and Shah took these picture and draw MOSTACHE for them by ZOGHAL to make them ugly in pictures then if any other men look at these pics they don't like his wives." as u see the other women with music instument don't have mustache!!!

I think that these are women on the photos. More than 40 Million Women in the USA have facial hair! Women also do have beards! You just never see it, as the modern fashion is to shave them off and to be "hairless" even men today are starting to laser. Some centuries ago fashion was different! It is just the western influence that pushes the women today to shave or laser or plug their facial hair off!
